报告题目：Terahertz Technology for Two-dimensionalMaterials

摘要：As the operation frequency increasing from gigahertz(GHz) to terahertz (THz) for the optoelectronic devices, the property ofmaterials in THz region is particularly important. THz spectroscopictechnology, which includes THz time-domain spectroscopy, THz emissionspectroscopy, as well as the optical-pump THz probe spectroscopy, has graduallybecome a popular technology to characterize the properties of advancedmaterials in THz region. This also further helps the development of THz sourcesand devices based on these advanced materials. In this talk, THz properties ofgraphene and transition metal chalcogenide materials are studied by THzspectroscopy. The results show that the graphene materials can be used toachieve broadband impedance matching for anti-reflection of substrates in THzregion. The THz emission mechanism and ultrafast carrier dynamics of thetwo-dimensional materials are also discussed. These two-dimensional layeredmaterials can provide new ideas for the development of THz devices and THzspectroscopy will also become an effective technology to characterize thelinear and nonlinear optical properties of these materials in THz region.

报告人简介：徐新龙，男，2006年6月于中国科学院物理研究所获得理学博士学位，2006年7月至2012年6月先后在中国科学院国家纳米科学中心，英国牛津大学物理系，新加坡南洋理工大学物理系，以及中国科学院物理研究所做研究助理，博士后，副研究员。2012年6月至今，任西北大学光子学与光子技术研究所教授，博士生导师。陕西省石墨烯材料制备及应用创新团队学术带头人，2012年获得陕西省科技新星称号，2019年获陕西省杰出青年基金。主要从事太赫兹物理和器件、超快光学、超材料及二维材料光电特性及应用等方面的研究与教学工作。在《Nano Letters》，《PhysicsReview Applied》，《Physics Review B》等国际期刊发表SCI论文110余篇，获得授权国际专利一项，中国专利三项。科研工作被Nature Asia Materials等作为研究亮点报道，被物理类重要杂志Reviews of Modern Physics等多次引用，并多次受邀在国内外会议上做邀请报告。
